The talent of Trinidad’s Indo- women shone on Saturday 11th March during a tribute to blind singer Asha Kamachee. A cast of eight performers honoured Asha in a display of song , music and dance. The concert entitled KAL AAJ AUR KAL, brought to the stage the talents of Amina Ramsaran, Shivanna Ragoonanan, Susan Mohip, Devika Ram, Nadia Madoo, Nelisha Ali, Ramrajee Prabhoo and Florida based Vidya Babwah. This year was the second year that KAL AAJ AUR KAL which translates Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow was hosted in recognition of International Women’s Day. |
