HIGHLIGHTS OF THE SHOW |
It was everything the audience expected- a serene setting with songs of peace floating through the air- RAIHAN did not disappoint. History was created on Friday 14th and Saturday 15th July at the Centre Pointe Mall, Chaguanas as for the first time Muslim songs (Nasheed) were rendered on stage.
Raihan, comprising four singers and three musicians have now dedicated their lives to spreading the messages of Allah and his messenger Muhammad through songs of inspirational words and what a performance they delivered. The group performed songs on various aspects of the religion of Islam in Arabic, Urdu, English and their traditional Malaysian language. Their accompanying musicians used only percussion instruments in keeping with strict tenets on Islam.
They even experimented with our local steel pan. Trinidadians starved for this kind of entertainment are eagerly looking forward to a return visit. |
