The 2005 Toronto Fall Spectacular came off as scheduled at the Grand Taj Ballroom in Mississauga on Saturday 1st October. The show generated tremendous interest largely due to the appearance of veteran comedian John Agitation, singer Ras Nancoo Singer and for the first time the new look SSL MELOBUGZ Orchestra.The show began a little late due to some traffic problems created by the paving of the Highways .
Two of our main artistes remained stuck in traffic until 8.50 pm. The producer however extended the closing time by half an hour and removed the intermission to make up for lost time.The show itself was something new for the audience as the Melobugz Orch delivered a high energy non stop repertoire with dazzling stage presentations by Arti, Andy, Devika and Duffy. Ras was excellent and so to was John Agitation whose comedy was as usual superb. Those who prefer the jumpy , party type music of the latest songs as well as chutney and bhangara and a touch of calypso had a great time. There was a minor disturbance at the end of the show which is regretted and which the organizers sincerely apologise.
