Kevin Khan

Kevin Khan - Keyboard Specialist

Trinidad and Tobago have and continue to produce several very young and versatile musicians of international standard and when one considers most of them have had little or no formal musical training, it is quite amazing the awesome skills demonstrated by these artistes not only in playing but in creating high quality music.

One such musician is nineteen year old Keyboard Specialist and Rhythm Composer KEVIN KHAN, the son of Nazimool Khan and nephew of songbird Ruby Guptar. Kevin is only nineteen years old and is responsible for arranging and playing the music for the Naipaul's Xtra Dream Team on all their local and international engagements.

Kevin is perhaps the youngest keyboard player in Trinidad with this kind of responsibility and when one considers the high standard demanded at all times by his dad and aunt this is quite an achievement by this youngster. Unlike many of the bands in Trinidad, sequencing music is not an option with Kevin, he prefers the traditional approach of 'Live' playing. Kevin is also very much into computers and he says this assists him tremendously in perfecting his playing capabilities.
