She
is as gentle as a lamb and her voice is
as sweet as a nightingale's. Her poise and
outlook won her the Nafeita Award for the
most outstanding female singer by the Copyright
Organisation of Trinidad and Tobago.
Ruby Khan Guptar originally
from St. Lucian Road., Diego Martin is now
residing in Cunupia. The mother of two,
started her singing career in 1976, in Temple
groups. In 1977, she made her first public
appearance when she entered Mastana Bahar.
Her sweet voice prompted the leadership
of the Dil E Nadan orchestra to approach
her to join the band as a lead vocalist.
She is now an important part of the dream
team along with her brother Nazimool.Ruby
has performed in Canada, New York, Martinique,
Guadeloupe, Miami, Guyana, London, Barbados
and St. Marten.

Ruby won the National
Council of Indian Culture's Ladies singing
competition and was awarded a certificate
of coperation from the Global co-operative
Bank for helping to make the world a better
place.
This central based
beauty continues to mesmerise and charm
her audiences wherever she performs. In
1999, with the release of two albums - Sentimental
Journeys and Divine Melodies which today
are collectors' items, came the formation
of the most formidable and deadly singing
brother and sister duo -- The Dream Team,
Ruby is a Gem of a singer.
