This talented bunch of dancers
are based at Arima Old Road, Dabadie. They were
founded in 1988 by the late Surin Hart himself an
accomplished dancer/ choreographer. Surin died in
1993, which was tremendous loss to dance. Presently
Surins sister Vidivartee Hart Rambaran is the
leader of this outstanding dance ensemble.
Her husband Jeewan Rambaran is
responsible for looking after the management of this
group, a job which he does quite efficiently. The
group is presently sponsored by KISS BAKING COMPANY.
There costume designers are Anile Moonsammy, Pamela
Suchit and off course Vidivartee.
Their crowning achievement and
most excited moment is when they were announced winners
of the 2002 series of Mastana Bahar defeating quite
a formidable team of finalists.
This group continues to perform
with distinction all over Trinidad and is certainly
a force to reckon with when its comes to local dance. Some
of their lead dancers include Devanand Kanta, Donna
Deosingh, Kavita Rambaran and Devi Gopie.
They are vigorously pursuing
with promoters in North America the possibility of
the group sharing their talent with our thousands
of West Indians domiciled there.
They would like to be recognized
as Dance Ambassadors of Trinidad. They want to continue
to be innovative and provide captivating performances
.
