The members of the Saraswati Orchestra are some of the pioneers of Indian culture in Trinidad and Tobago.  This Orchestra was one of only a few local Indian Orchestras in existence at this time.  Led by Joseph Ramdeo, they performed at weddings and other functions in Trinidad.  Their music was also played on the Radio frequently.

The Orchestra was based in Diego Martin, which is where most of the members are from.  They were in existence for about 10 years.  Even though most of the members are deceased now, the memory of this Orchestra lives on through the minds of the people of Trinidad and Tobago.
